Vytautas Magnus University announces a foreign Lithuanian scholarship competition for VMU students. The foreign Lithuanian scholarship is awarded to the same person once during the entire period of study. The scholarship amount is 1000 EUR. Documents are accepted until March 15. Students who meet the criteria specified in the scholarship guidelines and wish to apply for the Foreign Lithuanian Scholarship must submit the following documents to VMU World Lithuanian University:

• A free-form application addressed to the Rector, including motivation for receiving the Foreign Lithuanian Scholarship, linked to activities specified in the scholarship criteria.
• Documents proving that the student has lived abroad for at least three (3) years (for citizens of the Republic of Lithuania).
• Documents proving that the student has applied for a VDU tuition fee scholarship, a State Study Fund scholarship for foreign Lithuanians, or confirmation that such scholarships have been granted.
• Official documents proving Lithuanian origin, in accordance with the requirements specified in the guidelines (for non-citizens of the Republic of Lithuania).
• A CV (Curriculum Vitae).
• A recommendation from a Lithuanian community, Lithuanian language school, or another Lithuanian organization abroad.

Criteria for the Foreign Lithuanian Scholarship Competition:

• Interest in the Lithuanian diaspora (history, current situation) and the activities of Lithuanian communities abroad.
• Participation in Lithuanian community and/or Lithuanian language school activities abroad.
• Involvement in community/volunteer/academic activities.
• Interest in and/or participation in specific activities of VDU’s World Lithuanian University.
