On May 17, at the VMU World Lithuanian University in the L. and F. Mockūnas space in Vilnius, a meeting was held with Venezuelan Lithuanian Ana Baronas de Zavadzkas. During the event, the discussion focused on the Baronas family’s experience of relocating to Venezuela, the history of the Lithuanian community active there, and the emerging community of Venezuelan Lithuanian repatriates currently settling in Lithuania.

The conversation was accompanied by a photo exhibition titled “The Golden Age of Venezuela Through Lithuanian Eyes”, featuring works by Venezuelan Lithuanian photographer Gediminas Orentas from the 1950s–60s, as well as captured moments from the life of the Lithuanian community in Venezuela during the same period.
